We live in a time and place of great change.  How we react to or are impacted by the changes taking place around us serves to define what it means to be human.  We have a tremendous capacity to analyze and critically think about ideas and to make decisions about how we shall now live.  Dispatches from the Imperial Capital reflects the thoughts of one person — and invites the comments of others — on the things that matter.  The goal is to explore old and new ways of thinking in the hope that they can be of help to us on our journeys.
